Artist's Comments

I went to check this Windmill out without really considering how I was going to shoot it. The idea was to just get some shots to play around with so I could go back with a plan. But I like how these are working and whilst I will be going back, I thought I would post these so that I could show off the potential this place has for something really dramatic.

I have run this one through PS and adjusted the tones to make it a lot more muted.

I would be interested to hear anyones critique on this shot.

Much better Pete, but I'm not entirely sure on the grass, it doesn't blend perfectly with the sky - possibly more green. Otherwise its a beautiful photo! :) :D

It looks too brown doesn't it. I need to lug my tripod up there to get a locked of shot so I can take a few exposures and blend them in. I could kick myself for nat taking it with me when I went to check it out.

This really great, but it needs something else, maybe a child running, something very unique!

I know... But where can I get a willing child from. But it does need something happening in the foreground running up the hill.

noted and suspected. But its a good angle. Maybe something in the foreground would also help it.

don't worry, I understand what you mean about travelling around with a tripod, maybe a simple tweak of Hue on the grass will suffice? :) :D

Nope.... I have worked on this shot too much. What you see is what you get. When I go back I will do better :D

I think the angle is perfect and, unlike other comments, the grass has the right color (it's dramatic, in my opinion). I would like to see something moving and some more elements, though. And what if trying the sepia tone?

Again it's too high to fit on anyone's screen, so I can't comment on the composition, but the colours need a tiiiny bit more saturation and it'll be good.
