I went to check this Windmill out without really considering how I was going to shoot it. The idea was to just get some shots to play around with so I could go back with a plan. But I like how these are working and whilst I will be going back, I thought I would post these so that I could show off the potential this place has.

I would be interested to hear anyones critique on this shot.

Really good job, I think you should try and re-shoot it twice. Once when the sun is directly above it, and a second time when it is raining. tell what you think about my idea.

I'm going to shoot it twice so I can expose for the sky and for the shadow and get the detail in the windmill. I will then blend the images to get a perfectly exposed shot. I'm not sure about shooting it in the rain though. I am a fair weather photographer :D

Yeah, I'm liking these shots, the big sky and the silhuette (can't spell) in this one and the unusual angle of the mill in the other one. Maybe some birds or something else for an added component, but exactly what would look best I couldn't rightly say...
